Rotary Club of Toowoomba South Inc.

About Us

Our Club

The Rotary Club of Toowoomba South is a Community Service Club operating in and around the local region, raising funds for worthy community facilities and charities through a socially active group of business oriented members. Our Club consists of two groups, the Senior Club and our Satellite Club, The Edge.

The Senior Club is open to members of all ages, but more suited to members over the age of fifty. However, this policy is not specific.

The Edge group is aimed at members under the age of fifty but, again, this policy is not specific.

Where do we meet

The Senior Club currently meets for dinner on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month, 6.00pm for 6.30pm start, at The Downs Club, Milne St Toowoomba.

On the alternate Tuesdays we meet for lunch, 12.00 noon at the Cobb & Co Cafe in Lindsay Street Toowoomba but this is subject to change so please check the Senior Club Calendar or contact our Secretary for details of any changes.

Our Satellite Club, The Edge, meets for breakfast at 7.00 am on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month. Please contact the EDGE Secretary for the current meeting location.

Visiting Rotarians are always welcome to join with either group but we suggest contacting the relevant Secretary (details below) to confirm the meeting venue.

Satellite Club

As a way of attracting new, younger members into Rotary our club, under the leadership of then President Graham Newnham, established a Satellite Club in 2015, with an initial membership of twelve members, all aged between 30 and 50 years of age. Nine of these new members were inducted into our club on the 2nd of June 2015.

The other three new members, unable to be there on the night, were inducted into the club at another meeting on the 17th of June, bringing the total membership of The Edge, at that time, to twelve - and it's still growing!

A report on the Satellite Club Inductions can be found in the Club Blog and in the Southender.

Photos from the evening are available in the Club's Google Photos Albums.

Membership of the Satellite Club is aimed at people under the age of fifty and is open to both male and female applicants.

If you are interested in becoming a member more information is available below and there is a Membership Inquiry form in our Contact Us Page

Membership Information

Membership of a Rotary Club is open to individuals of all ages, from 18 to 80 plus. It gives you the opportunity to give back to the community by participating in worthwhile service projects; to create new and lasting friendships, not only at a Club level but also within the greater Rotary Community and to enjoy the fellowship of like-minded people at regular social events.

Membership of a Rotary Club is by invitation only but unless we know who you are, or where we can contact you, we can't invite you to become a member so if you would like to know more about becoming a member you can register your interest by sending us some information about yourself.

You can do this by filling in a few personal details in the Expression of Interest inquiry form in the Contact Us page and one of our membership team will contact you as soon as possible.

You can also find out a little more about our club by reading our Club Brochure
